Do I store chocolate in the fridge?
Short answer: NO
I am not here to tell you what to do but don’t put the chocolate in the fridge.
Household fridges are too cold and humid and the chocolate might turn grey and become grainy.
Why does the chocolate taste like chicken tikka masala and onion?
Stored it in the fridge, didn’t you?
Chocolate absorbs odours so if it is stored next to anything with strong flavours, it will absorb it.
This applies to spices, candles, perfume you get the idea.
Can I book a workshop?
The Chocolate Workshop is called ‘workshop’ because I LOVE the German name ‘Schokoladen Werkstatt (a room or building where things are made or repaired using machines and/or tools) but as German is not an official language in New Zealand I settled for the English word and not because my main thing is teaching classes.
In saying that I was planning on running classes but then this pesky virus popped up, let’s watch this space in the future.
